Rik Jam’s debut studio album, The Genesis, released digitally on August 1, 2025 via Irie Yute Records, is a deeply personal body of work produced by Phillip McFarlane with additional contributions from Nnamdi Robinson. Spanning 14 tracks, the album features standout songs such as “Hear My Cry,” “Journey,” “Caution,” “Give Praise,” “Fight With You” (featuring Taye Louise), “Stereo” (featuring Eric Rachmany), “Troubled Streets” (with Dalwayne & Taye Louise), “Cry Blood” (featuring MediSun), and the closing anthem “Hail the King.” Drawing from years of dedication and real-life experiences, Rik Jam sees The Genesis as both a new chapter in his career and a statement within roots reggae. “This album represents every aspect of my life… We’ve acknowledged how impactful music is, and I know reggae can help change the modern world, so the time is now,” he told World A Reggae, reflecting on his long-standing creative partnership with McFarlane—one built on consistency, discipline, and a shared vision for the music.
