Palm Trees and Green Leaves [2016]

presented by Caribbean Dance Radio

We celebrate the musical marijuana subculture in Reggae music with this mixtape selection of new ganja anthems - ‘Palm Trees and Green Leaves’.

The follow-up to Caribbean Dance Radio’s milestone and debut mixtape, ‘Episode 150: [THE MIXTAPE]’, includes the top ganja themed songs dating back to 2014. Seattle based Reggae singer and connoisseur Bobby Hustle lends his voice for exclusive dubplates on signature tunes ‘Weed Like Mine’ over Eek A Mouse’s classic ‘Ganja Smuggling Riddim’ and ‘Real Ganja Man’ on the Lecturer Riddim. This mixtape is filled with Modern classics like ‘The Marijuana’ by Jah9, ‘Finally’ by Jesse Royal, ‘10lb’ by Keznamdi, ‘Medical Marijuana Card’ by Macka B, and ‘Bubblin’ by Protoje.

Caribbean Dance Radio celebrates the milestone of 150 Episodes broadcasted by creating its first Full Official Mixtape. A popular segment on Caribbean Dance Radio is the 'Champion Sound Of The Week' where an foundation song or one of it's remakes is featured on the program.

We at Caribbean Dance Radio salute the 'Champion Sound Of The Week' and honors the old-school and foundation producers, DJs, and selectors who have made these anthems cornerstones of the genre. Riddims featured originally produced by Henry Lawes, King Jammy, Digital B, Kenneth Him Hoo, and more plus rebuilds, remixes, and remakes by Royal Order Music, Bizzarri Records, XTM Nation, Penthouse Records, Inner Circle, Flava McGregor, and more.
