[OMV] Eesah - Tell No Lie
“Tell No Lie", presented by Eesah Music, produced by King I-Vier and Loud City Music, is a song fueled with riddles and Jamaican folklore. Filmed in the lush Blue Mountains of Kingston, Jamaica, the journey gives insight to some of life’s more serious lessons, delivered through a series of playful conundrums.
The team of exceptional directors; Inkaz Studios and Pete Beng, captured the true essence with this visual. Riddle me this, riddle me that, what goes in the fridge and always comes back out hot? Man a peppa, a real hot steppa!
[OMV] Mavado - Me Alright
[OMV] Vybz Kartel - Come Home
[OMV] Koffee - Throne
We had the honor of receiving this song to our email mid session last week. The official music video has been released and information about Koffee’s upcoming album on Sony/Columbia Records has been released.
[New Music] Bounty Killer - Never Since
California soundclash selector Jah Mikey One and dubmaster Drew Keys (Haze St. Dub) team up for a digital-era sounding Bounty Killer track. The riddim is reminiscent of the Casio keyboard production style with Bounty Killer delivering his one-of-a-kind vocal style.
[OMV] Kabaka Pyramid - Reggae Music
“Reggae Music” is the 5th single from the album #Kontraband and we are pushing for this song to be a symbol in 2019 and especially during #ReggaeMonth here in JA and internationally where it has got a lot of love!
The music video features legends like King Jammy and Father Pow [Stone Love] and also culture selector Oga from Jah Works Sound in Japan making his pilgrimage to Kingston Jamaica, the home of Reggae Music!
Reggae Grammy 2019
The annual festivus of The Grammy Awards will be held on February 10th in Los Angeles, CA. This year’s entry includes Etana representing the first woman to be nominated for a Reggae Grammy award. Black Uhuru, currently lead by original member Duckie Simpson, releases ‘As The World’ - their first release in 15 years.
The power duo of Winta James of Ovastand Entertainment and Protoje join forces for his 5th release - ‘A Matter of Time’. The album is anchored with James’ single production style and once again joins forces with Reggae Revival counterpart Chronixxx.
In the most unpredictable release of the year, regardless of genre, is the collaboration of Sting and Shaggy. Guest vocalists on the project include Aidonia and Morgan Heritage. While not ‘Rootsy’ or succumbing to standards of Reggae production, the “44/876” album is a good listen.
While not in heavy rotation on the program, ‘Rebellion Rises’ from Ziggy Marley holds firm to commercial and industry success. This is Ziggy’s 8th album.
